Low Ropes Course

Our low ropes course is used a great deal as part of our team building and team challenge activities; it is a great tool to use to seeing how we can work together better in a group. It also helps to build self-confidence and to develop trust in others; other skills are used on the low ropes, including balance, timing and co-ordination; all the while helping others to be safe and have fun.

Within Conway Centres: Anglesey grounds we have a fantastic progressive range of low ropes elements which are designed to encourage teamwork, communication, responsibility and problem solving skills. A group may be presented with challenges such as the ‘jungle swing’ in which the participants must get the group from one platform to another, or helping each other over a beam suspended between two trees, or they may have to complete a journey around a ropes course trying not to lose too many ‘lives’.

The activity elements we have allow all age groups to be catered for and indeed can easily be matched to specific course objectives (e.g. listening skills). Regular reviewing ensures the group are given the opportunity to reflect on the positive and negative aspects of their performance. This activity is ideally coupled with a zip wire session, a problem solving session, or as an introduction to the high level ropes course.
