Key Stage 2 Studies

The following is a list of studies suitable for Primary School pupils at Key Stage 2. Most of these studies will take half a day to deliver some can be extended to be full days if required. We provide staff to deliver the individual studies, others can be run by visiting staff as self staffed studies.

Centre Staffed Studies - History:

The Stone AgeInvestigating how people managed to gather food, live and keep warm; as well as looking into how they remembered their anscestors.

The Celts and the Iron AgeLooking at how people lived and worked in the Iron Age; as well as what structures they left behind.

Beaumaris CastleA look at the form and function of Beaumaris Castle; why it was there and how did it defend itself. It may be possible to make a comparison with Caernarfon castle.

Caernarfon CastleA look at the form and function of Caernarfon Castle; why it was there and how did it defend itself. Possible comparison with other castles available.

The Victorian Era in North WalesA study of the way people lived and worked in the slate villages and/or rural areas.
