Lee Groves

I have always had a real zeal for the outdoor environment, be it simply falling out of trees as a child; to exploring our nation’s wilderness through mountaineering, climbing and paddling, or something more exotic such as sport climbing in Europe, or  mountaineering in the Alps. I have been fortunate enough to follow my passion through higher education completing a Degree in Sports Science (Outdoor Activities) at Bangor University. During this time at university I volunteered at Conway Centres: Anglesey. I am now thrilled to be a part of a fantastically passionate team in the role of as Assistant Outdoor Education Tutor. I believe through teaching outdoor education at the centre I can encourage others to experience a range of life, social and technical skills which compliment what they may achieve in the classroom.

Professionally I am working towards my Mountain Leader Award, Single Pitch Award as well as canoe and kayak qualifications to name but a few. I currently hold my RYA Dayskipper theory certificate. I am always looking for a new challenge and will be pursuing every new and exciting opportunity during my time at Conway Centres: Anglesey.
