Karl Domeracki

A handful of experiences in the outdoors through my childhood and adolescence gave me an insight into the adventure, growth and fun the outdoor environment could facilitate. After this taste at a young age, I chose to carry on pursuing as many opportunities as I could to get outside and continue doing the things that brought me the most adventure and joy. This then lead to me enrolling on a degree in sports coaching, where much of the practical application was carried out in North Wales. Here, I was able to really engage in kayaking, canoeing and mountaineering, which further drove my passion for working in this environment. During my summers at University, I went out to the US and Canada to work at various camps and organisations, which further broadened my horizons, and instigated my challenge to help share the beauty and educational value of the outdoors with others. I have only recently started at the Conway Centre, however, it appears to be the perfect role at this time in my life, in terms of training and development and the type of work and opportunities for growth, allowing me to share my passion for the outdoors with others.
