Andy Leigh

I have been working as a full time professional artist since graduating in 2002 with a BA (Hons) Fine Art degree. I work as part of the Visual Arts team at Conway Centres: Anglesey.

My work includes the provision of a wide range of workshops for both adults and children, guidance on the planning and preparation for OFSTED, consultancy on art documentation, assistance with the organisation of residential art weeks, twilight courses for schools and establishing large scale co-operative works of art.

I enjoy the challenge of working with a variety of groups’ and motivating them to develop their creative abilities. I am endlessly enthusiastic and work in a variety of different mediums including print-making, painting, drawing, ceramics, sculpture, photography and textiles.

I have worked in a wide variety of both primary and secondary schools both in the context of the curriculum and within a residential setting. I have delivered on both ASDAN and OUTSMART projects, on Arts Extravaganzas, at the Chester Fringe, the Royal International Eistedffod and in a Museum context on many occasions. I have exhibited as an artist in a variety of settings including at The Atrium Art Gallery, The Grosvenor, The Vienalle (Italy), The Pyramid Arts Centre, The Mall Gallery and The Steam Mill Gallery.
